Designer and maker of kitchens

Start Your Project

How it Works

After an initial site visit and discussion Matthew will give you an estimate of the costs. If you require, he will design your fitted kitchen in AutoCad for a fee which will be deducted from the total cost.

If you decide to proceed Matthew will draw up a firm itemised quote. We require 40% deposit at the start of the project, and a further 40% payment during the working process. The final 20% is to be paid on completion.

Our clients value well designed and good quality kitchens that are built on schedule at a reasonable cost. Because Matthew is a hands-on designer/maker who has the flexibility to deal with large and small projects he takes full responsibility for every kitchen he makes.

This means the client gets a personalised and expert service, from the design stage right through to the finer detail of the making process. Matthew is a sole trader who puts his name to the work carried out.

If you have any questions about our method of working or would like to discuss ideas for your handmade kitchen please contact us.

The Kitchen Making Process

From very traditional in-frame kitchens to contemporary flat panelled handleless kitchens sprayed in an infinite number of colours, Matthew has experience of making many styles and works closely with clients to realise their design ideas.

When necessary Matthew employs skilled craftspeople to make particular items. His experienced turner has made various objects such as island unit legs/pilasters, hand turned knobs and roundrels.

Matthew uses CNC routing techniques in certain manufacturing processes where the resulting quality is better than hand making, and this can also save on costs. However, many procedures still involve using hand planes, chisels etc. and Matthew enjoys the process of making items by hand. The whole practice of turning AutoCad drawings into three dimensional objects is very satisfying even after 30 years!
